Stuff Christians Do
Truth be told, many feel like when they read 1 John they are saved and unsaved and saved again. That’s not altogether bad. This short letter packs a powerful punch and wakes us up to some necessary self-examination to see if we are indeed Christians. While self-examination can sometimes be scary, the point of it is always positive. On one hand, if we self-examine and realize we in fact are not Christians we have an opportunity to repent and believe and be saved. Win. On the other hand, if we self-examine and realize we are in fact Christians we find assurance and confidence and encouragement and peace. Win.
