The Team
The leadership team at Redeemer is here to make sure you are served well, whether it’s your first or five-hundredth time through our doors. We do that in a bunch of different ways, but we all love our church, our city, and the God who cares more for anyone than anyone ever could.

Rob Berreth
Pastor
Lead Pastor
I’m Rob. My wife Kati and I planted Redeemer in 2007 after helping plant churches in Seattle, WA and Boston, MA. I earned an MDiv from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Great experience that I still benefit from...and pay for ;) I have one wife, four kids, and get to serve an incredible church. I might be the "luckiest" man on earth. One fun fact: I love trail running, but my knees hate it. One Depressing fact: The only place in the Bible my name shows up is as a sin. Bummer.
Corbin Watkins
Music Director
Sunday Worship
I’m Corbin. A Skagit native, I was born and raised in Mount Vernon. I served as both student and worship pastor on staff for seven years at the church my parents pastored for 30 years. I’m married to Alli, who is a licensed midwife. Our 3 children are Ulysses (7), Fiona (4), and Oslo (Bob! 2). Amidst all the chaos, I try to find time to play soccer, write music, run a small letterpress print shop, freelance some graphic design, perfect my cookie recipes... and a partridge in a pear tree.
Janel Davis
Redeemer Kids Director
Redeemer Kids, Discipleship and Parent Partnership
I’m Janel. I grew up in the PNW. I love kids; there’s so much joy, wonder, and authentic feeling in how they live, and that honesty can bring us all closer to the heart of Jesus. My husband and I have two kids and we are often out on the trails or at parks with them. When I’m not playing Risk with my son or making earrings with my daughter, you can find me writing poetry or dreaming about a new haircut for my poodle. (Did anyone say mullet?!) I’m eager to meet you and your kids and support families in drawing close to Jesus.
SaraAnn Evans
Redeemer Kids Coordinator
Redeemer Kids, Discipleship and Parent Partnership
I’m SaraAnn. My husband Reuben and I have lived in Bellingham since 2008. I love this beautiful city and the amazing people I have met here! We have 4 energetic kids who’s favorite activities include having our home filled with friends and delicious food on a weekly basis. My cup is most full when I am playing a board game with family, enjoying coffee with a friend or spending quiet time at the water, breathing in the views of the PNW.
Kati Berreth
Sunday Coordinator
Sunday Service Teams
I’m Kati. I am Rob’s wife and get the privilege of working with volunteers on Sunday mornings to greet, welcome, serve coffee and communion, and anything else that is needed to help make the Sunday experience gospel centered and grace saturated. When I am not getting to interact with the wonderful volunteers at Redeemer, I am teaching at Bellingham High School and hanging with our family of 6. My passion besides Jesus and my family is running…so don’t be surprised to find me showing up at some local spot in Bellingham in my running clothes:).
Dane Burgess
pastor of Redeemer students and Congregational Care
Redeemer Students, Facilities/Admin, Assimilation/Mobilization
I’m Dane. I am known around Redeemer as a social guy who is connected to everyone. I truly enjoy people and their stories. My wife Jahnel and I have three beautiful daughters. They are as social as we are. Our daughters love when people come over for dinner so they can show them their toys. I love to read, watch sports, play fantasy baseball, read…and, oh yeah, did I mention I love to read.
Luke Brandon
Gospel Communities
Leading Gospel Communities
I’m thrilled to be joining the staff at Redeemer and wanted to share a bit about my wife, Rayna, and myself. We met at Western, and after planting a church in Lacey, we moved back to Bellingham in 2016. I’ve served in various ministry roles and completed a Master’s in Theology, while Rayna works in education, directing highly capable learning for the school district. Though she’s not on staff, Redeemer has been a place of deep fellowship and healing for both of us. I’m excited to oversee gospel communities and occasionally preach, and I look forward to partnering with you all in the gospel.
Ethan Potts
Elder
Congregational Care
I’m Ethan. I grew up in Whatcom County and have lived in the area my whole life and I love it! I have been a part of Redeemer Church even before the first official service in 2007. I was the first non-staff elder/pastor installed in the church and I still love serving and being a part of this community. I love sports and enjoy quality time with family and friends. I have been married to my beautiful wife Kelli since 2005 and we also have three wonderful children - Lucy, Madeline and Kenesa.
Fred Bengen
Elder
Congregational Care
I’m Fred. Born and raised in Whatcom County, married to my wife, Debbie, since 1971. We have been a part of Redeemer Church since November 2018. Before Redeemer, I have been a Youth Pastor and an Associate Pastor. I was also the Pastor of Marietta Community Church for 13 years. We love hosting events at our home and serving others in and outside of the church. We have a son and daughter, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. We feel truly blessed by a truly gracious and good God.
Rob Corley
Elder
Congregational Care
My wife, Stephanie, and I arrived in Bellingham five years ago after spending a few decades in the Atlanta area where we served in an amazing church community. Upon visiting Redeemer, we never looked any further. There is not a more welcoming community of faith anywhere in our experience. We co-founded a ministry in Cambodia in 2009, The Lydia Project, which we love to care for… and we are greatly blessed with a son, Jonathan and his wife Kristen, and our grandson Cooper, plus an amazing daughter, Summar.
Serving God is a great adventure!
